To migrate from Phin's direct billing, you will need to initiate the request through the Pax8 Marketplace.
Phin works with distributors, such as Pax8, to simplify and consolidate billing for our partners. You will receive the same great Phin service, but the distributor will manage billing.
Migrate from Phin's direct billing to Pax8
To migrate from Phin's direct billing service to billing through Pax8, go to your Pax8 Marketplace, choose Phin, check that you are a current Phin partner, and provide your Phin ID#.
Find your Phin ID# by logging into the Phin Portal, reviewing the URL, and copying the text string after portal.phinsec.io/partners.
Pax8 will then initiate a request to Phin to migrate your account to their billing.
Billing will begin with Pax8 on the next billing cycle. For example, if you request a change of channel to Pax8 on May 1st, your June 1st invoice will be paid to Phin for May's usage, and your July 1st invoice for June will be billed via Pax8.
Migrate from one distributor to another
Currently, Phin does not support direct migrations from one distributor to another. To change distributors, do the following:
- Contact your intended new distributor and enroll in a free trial.
- Contact your original distributor and notify them you are cancelling your Phin service, effective on the free trial end date.
- Use the free trial period to recreate your prior Phin instance.
- Continue using your Phin account provided by the new distributor.
