To migrate from Phin's direct billing, you will need to initiate the request through the Pax8 Marketplace.
Phin works with distributors, such as Pax8, to simplify and consolidate billing for our partners. You will receive the same great Phin service, but the distributor will manage billing.
Steps to Migrate from Phin's direct billing to Pax8
1. Go to your Pax8 Marketplace.
2. Choose Phin from the Marketplace.
3. Whilst checking out, check the box that you are a current Phin partner and provide your Phin Partner Id. Visit the following page for help with finding your Phin partner id: Finding your Phin partner Id
Caution: Ensure that you provide the correct Phin Partner Id! If you provide an incorrect Id during checkout, Pax8 will not be able to process the request.
Note: Migrations from Phin -> Pax only take place at the beginning of a billing cycle. For example, if you request a change of channel to Pax8 on May 1st, you will stay under Phin for the remainder of May, then receive one final invoice through Phin on June 1. Your account will then be migrated to be under Pax and all further billing will be handled through Pax8.
FAQ
Can I migrate from a non-Phin distributor to Pax (or any other distributor)?
No. Currently, Phin does not support direct migrations from one distributor to another. To change distributors, do the following:
- Contact your intended new distributor and enroll in a free trial.
- Contact your original distributor and notify them you are cancelling your Phin service, effective on the free trial end date.
- Use the free trial period to recreate your prior Phin instance.
- Continue using your Phin account provided by the new distributor.
Why didn't my migration from Phin->Pax work?
There are a few possible reasons for this, the most common being:
- The incorrect partner Id was provided during checkout. Take a look at this article.
- Your account with Phin is not active or not in good standing. Log in to Phin and double check that everything is up and running!
- The email provided during checkout is not valid, or not reachable.
